Melanoma Therapeutics Lab
This lab is focused on discovering new therapeutic agents for melanoma. TGen helped launch a national genomic project that unites TGen and the H. Lee Moffitt Comprehensive Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, with scientific institutions, governmental entities and businesses with the goal of unraveling the genetics of melanoma. The project is based on the idea that the development of new drugs for melanoma is based on a foundation of genetic knowledge about the disease. By studying large numbers of melanoma patient samples in great molecular detail, we expect to build a knowledge base that will dramatically improve our ability to detect melanoma and identify previously unknown drug targets.
