Data Integration and Bioinformatics Unit
To support the analysis of experimental data produced within the Cancer Gene Discovery and Molecular Validation Unit, the Data Integration and Bioinformatics Unit has been developed to initiate data analysis that would bring together a broad representation of TGen's capabilities in genetics, molecular biology, genomic technology and computation for the purpose of developing models of cancer biology that are applicable to TGen's translational goals. Of major importance is the initiative to develop novel tools to "fuse" data generated on different platforms to help discover comprehensive profiles of cancer, rather than profiles based on single molecules or single biological measurements. This is a new and powerful approach, which can only be implemented within the setting of an integrated program.
Current Projects:
1. Refining he statistical iterpretation of RNAi screening results
2. Developing the logic-based analyses of categorical data
