Lung Cancer Research Lab
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States. There remains no practical way to screen for this disease. As a result, approximately 75% of patients are diagnosed with advanced-stage disease. For those patients with advanced-stage, improvement in treatment outcomes is sorely needed. The Lung Cancer Research Lab seeks to improve lung cancer detection, develop new therapies, and enhance our understanding of tumor biology.
Current Projects: 1. Early diagnostic detection of lung cancer.
2. Predicting chemovulnerability of adenocarcinoma of the lung.
3. New, non-invasive markers of lung cancer metastasis.
